'La Petite Mode EvaDress' continues with the multi-size range progress I've made on the 1930's Evening Gown and Bolero pattern: I am working this one up in a range of sizes to fit 32" to 46" bust. Here is the petite model in the sleeveless gown with low V-back version. I created it in silk satin organza with a little horsehair in the hem to demonstrate the fullness of the skirt. This 11-piece pattern originally by Butterick is a very scarce pattern for Howard Greer's design for a costume as worn by Miss Hepburn in an R.K.O. Radio Picture', being her first starring role in 'Christopher Strong'.    The ensemble consists of the pleated hat, one-piece dress and jacket with long or short cut-away sleeves and attached scarf that laps over the front to close the jacket with buttons. 3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 3/8" seams are given on all other edges. I have given recommendation in the yardage chart as to sourcing patterns for these parts. There are also no provisions for the bat headdress.I have rated this pattern advanced as it is very technically challenging.   24-piece pattern originally by McCall is a wonderful deco ensemble including coat, blouse with or without sleeves and the diagonal seamed skirt.  Why not pipe those skirt seams for contrast?!  The box coat is in long (A) or short (C) length, long sleeve (A) or sleeveless (B) blouse and pieced skirt.  The box coat (8-piece pattern) may be ordered as a separate or, the blouse and skirt (16-piece pattern) are sold as a set, see options below.
