August Winner for $25 off at EvaDress.com!

@judybarnz Instagram-posted her polka-dot contrast dress from pattern D30-8656, the 1936 Dress and was randomly chosen in the drawing to receive the $25 gift certificate to EvaDress.com for the month of August!  Judy has made three dresses from this pattern and tells me she has plans to make a couple more for her travels next year. She finds it so versatile when made in different fabrics and changing trims. I am so happy to hear she is making an entire wardrobe-full from this design alone! @thetallprincess Instagram-posted her delightful creation from pattern D40-4711, the 1946 Day or Evening Dress. She was randomly chosen in the drawing to receive the $25 gift certificate to EvaDress.com for the month of May!  She really nailed the elegance of adding a sequin motif along the neckline, capturing the 1940's concept of drawing flattery to the face! Pattern Tour, 1940 Hooded Blouse, Wide Leg Trousers and Overalls SE40-3322

Alexandra Reynolds 1940's blouse Capsule wardrobe EvaDress Patterns pants Pattern Tour

Pattern Tour, 1940 Hooded Blouse, Wide Leg Trousers and Overalls SE40-3322

15-piece pattern originally by Simplicity, 'Misses’ Blouse, Slacks and Overalls.  A choice of blouse with hood and long sleeves, or without hood and short sleeves is provided.  Slacks are darted, front and back and join a belt.  Overalls have halter top and pockets'. The overalls/trousers (8-piece pattern) may be ordered without the blouse and the blouse (7-piece pattern) may be ordered as a separate, see options. This pattern was issued just under the wire before war-time clothing restrictions soon factored out trouser turn-ups!  I always thought the pattern art models resemble Judy Garland perhaps as a marketing ploy based on...

Alexandra Reynolds 1930's Capsule wardrobe coat EvaDress Patterns frock jacket Pattern Tour

Pattern Tour, SE30-3891 the 1930 Dress, Slip, Coat & Hat

15-piece pattern for the dress with optional slip, open coat and Newport-style hat.   The coat (3-piece pattern) may be ordered as a separate.  The dress skirt may be accordion-pleated and comes with flounced slip (8-piece pattern) sold as a set aside from the entire ensemble. I designed this pattern based on the color rendering originally sketched by a pattern company artist at a runway show in 1930.  The caption written on the original reads: 'Seen at the fashion show.  Coarse black net.  Black taffeta bands.' NOTE: The dress, slip and coat are very close fitting at the hip (1" ease).  As I recommend with all of my patterns,...
