Mood boards are so inspiring when it comes to 'conspiring' sewing plans! They may evolve and change as one’s work continues. This is a board I started the summer of ’19 which I recently updated. I originally worked off a palette of reds, black and white of a Japanese sensibility. As explored by Brian Centrone in his article ‘Starstruck Sewing’ for Threads Magazine (current issue #208, April/May 2020): During the Great Depression, commercial pattern makers marketed designs inspired by the attire stars wore and line-for-line copies of clothing designs right from the silver screen.
