11-piece digitally-drafted pattern originally by Simplicity, 'Style I has V-neckline with pointed collar. Bodice gathers on high waistline to yoke. Short sleeves finished with a band. Twelve-gored skirt joins to lower edge of yoke.  Style II has square neckline and short sleeves finishes with pleating'. Suggested fabrics are for Style I: Eyelet batiste, taffeta, rayon, silk and cotton crepe, triple sheers, or flat crepe.  For Style II: Dimity, dotted Swiss, printed muslin, sheer cotton, eyelet batiste, lace, taffeta, rayon and cotton crepe, triple sheers or flat crepe. 1/2" seams are given. You see finished dresses from this pattern by a couple of customers....

8-piece pattern originally by McCall, the dinner dress may be cut in longer or shorter length (as a cocktail dress or or day wear). Long fitted, short cap or short, shaped sleeves may be used.This, as do many of my patterns comes with fully illustrated instructions for construction and finishing. 3/8" seams are allowed. 13-piece pattern originally by Hollywood Pattern Co., wrap dress with short or bracelet-length sleeves and diamond inset at the skirt drape. Instructions with dimensions are given to create shoulder pads, if desired although pattern pieces are not provided. 1/2" seams are given. Sizes: Size set A fits 14-20 (32" to 38" bust, 26" to 32" waist, 35" to 41" hip). 6-piece pattern for advanced sewers.  Originally by Hollywood, 'A shaped stomacher panel joins to the skirt to the gathered blouse section, which has a low back décolletage.  An optional soft sash is pulled through a ring at the V-neck in front and wraps about the body to knot at the waistline in the back, falling in long ends to train length.'     1/2" seams are given. Ideal fabrics for this design are: silk crepe, printed crepe, satin, taffeta, faille, metal cloth or lace, novelty cotton, pique, linen, cotton lace, eyelet batiste or velvet.  Sizes: Size set A fits 12-20 (30"...
