  4-piece pattern originally by German Beyer's Modenblatt,  the dress closed with 6 buttons down the front and was sewn at the center the rest of the way to the hem.  I have given it 9 buttons leaving the front edges free and finished with a front facing.  An optional belt fastens to the dress at the front via buttonholes at each end to fasten at the front waistline button.  The neckline is cut out and shaped and bodice is fitted at the front armhole and front and back waistline with darts.  5/8" seams are given.   Advanced 5-piece pattern, design originally by McCall. I draped to create this pattern, as I did not have the original at the time. This is an advanced design for the evening gown with back stays and sash in self or contrasting fabric.  The bodice is cut on the bias and the skirt may be cut bias or on straight of grain.  3/8" seams are given.   I missed National Pin Up Day (April 22, which was brought to my attention by an Instagram post by @its.goldie_frocks). So my National Pin Up Day contribution days later is this flashback to 2011 at the Raven Café Annual Halloween bash! I wore the 1936 Underpinnings (Bandeau & Panties) set with this garter belt for a through-the-ages pin-up ensemble, if you will. The result was the pass-off of a late-30’s look.   4-piece hand-drafted pattern originally by Simplicity, has the two sizes listed below on one sheet.  The shorts are pleated at center front and back with halter attached at front. 1/2" seams are given. On the page for this pattern, you will see a photo from a costumer showing this halter top made into a separate blouse and accompanying the wide leg trousers from pattern NL30-1241. When I made my set from this pattern, I did not stitch the halter top to the front of the shorts waistband, as instructed. I rather finished the shorts waistline and the lower edge extension of the halter...
