10-piece pattern originally by Simplicity, 'The fitted strapless bodice in View 1 is styled with a wide sash joined to the bodice at side seams, wraps around waistline and ties in front. View 2 may be worn with or without straps. View 3 is a halter. All views have a zipper side closing and side seams are open 2" from lower edge'.
5/8" seams are given.
Sizes:
Size set A fits 14-20 (32" to 38" bust, 26" to 32" waist, 35" to 41" hip).
Size set B fits 40-46 (40" to 46" bust, 34" to 40" waist, 43" to 49" hip).
I sewed the Style 3 halter with the sash from Style 1, just because I HAD to make the best use out of the 2 yards of 55" plaid silk dupioni I had in my stash to show off the decadence!
The halter facing for Style 3 is brilliantly cut on a different direction of the grain to that of the halter straps themselves, making an elegantly draped halter in which the neckline seams do not show.
