Pattern Tour, B50-5490 1950's Blouse & Apron

Alexandra Reynolds 1950's apron bias blouse EvaDress Patterns Pattern Tour

 EvaDress.com 1950's Blouse & Apron B50-5490

10-piece pattern originally by Advance, the kimono blouse is pleated at center front and with or without sleeve and collar revers.  The bias-cut apron may be cut in printed or contrasting fabric.

1/2" seams are given.

Sizes:

Size set A fits 14-20 (32" to 38" bust, 26" to 32" waist, 35" to 41" hip).

Size set B fits 40-46 (40" to 46" bust, 34" to 40" waist, 43" to 49" hip).

I sewed this blouse in deep red cotton sateen and I still want to make an apron, just haven't decided what color/print it should be! The blouse is too large for my display model, so lines are shown running diagonally down the front. These lines are not there when worn on my figure.

I found the pattern to run large per each size, so I started the sizing at 14 rather than the original size 12. Be sure to mock this one up and see how it suits you!

I was inspired to put this one on the Pattern Tour because of a vintage image I came across showing a bodice VERY similar to this blouse (Image found on Pinterest. There is no credit source for this photo)!
