D40-4662; 1943 Dress & Redingote
17-piece pattern originally by Simplicity, 'The smartly simple (shirtwaist) dress has a gored skirt and a waist that is tucked at the lower edge. Style I has an ever-flattering V-neck (without collar) and short sleeves. Style II has a notched collar and three-quarter sleeves. The redingote, tucked at the shoulder front, has princess lines at the back forming an inverted pleat at the back waistline'. Note: the dress and redingote are the same length.
3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 1/2" seams are given on all other edges.

SUGGESTED DRESS FABRICS: Spun rayon, printed silks, faille, challis, satin, novelty silks, sheer wools, chiffon wools, wool crepe, printed cottons, novelty cottons, cotton lace, sheer cottons, lawn.
Interestingly, the original pattern from which this was drafted came from the same owner of the original to this pattern:
Size set A fits 14-20 (32" to 38" bust, 26" to 32" waist, 35" to 41" hip).
Size set B fits 40-46 (40" to 46" bust, 34" to 40" waist, 43" to 49" hip).
Size set C fits 48-52 (48" to 52" bust, 42" to 46" waist, 51" to 55" hip).
