1935 Afternoon Frock D30-2655
D30-2655; 1935 Afternoon Frock
10-piece digitally-drafted pattern originally by Beyer's Modenblatt, the caliber of this smart frock is surely of designers such as Molyneux or Mainbocher! The raglan sleeve joins not unlike a contrasting shrug over an otherwise black frock with form-fitting waist and slimming waist yoke over a circular skirt.
Best fabrics for this design: For Sleeve Contrast - Silk Georgette (original recommendation), Chiffon or Sheer Gauze. For the Frock - Silk Crêpe (original recommendation), Satin, Crêpe de Chine, Moiré in rayons, Celanese or Bemberg or any other fabric previously suggested.
This pattern is for the more advanced sewer as instructions are very basic and lightly illustrated; they are not depicted in a step-by-step manner.
3/8" seams are given.
Size:
Size 16 fits 34" bust, 28" waist, 37" hip.
