Originally by Simplicity, 'MEN’S SPORTS SHIRTS. Slip-over model with three different closings, are these casual shirts. All gathered to yoke at back. Style 1 is buttoned or slide fastened at front, may have one or two patch pockets and short or long sleeves. Style 2 is closed with a buttoned front band; it has long sleeves.'

This 15-piece pattern gives a let-out at all side seams.  Advice is given when measuring for sleeve length (as coincides with chest measure), as follows:

With arm bent upward, place tape measure at base of neck.  Run tape from center back to elbow, across elbow crook and over the wrist bone.

3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 1/2" seams are given on all other edges. No hem is allowed, but ½” is given on bottom edges of shirt for turning.

Sizes:

Size set A fits 38" to 42" chest, 33" to 35" sleeve length, 15" to 16" neck. 

Size set B fits 42" to 46" chest, 35" to 37" sleeve length, 16" to 17" neck.
